Comparing Android 4.1.2 Vs. 4.2.2 features

Android programs have been criticized about its programme though criticism about Androids comes from its competitor, the iOS. The slow response of Android updates can be due to the various carriers that usually take some time testing and adding their own software to the Android system. How about comparing the Android features of 4.1.2 and 4.2.2?

About the 4.2.2 version, there are still lots of hardware that needs to be upgraded and is available to the Nexus device for quite some time. About a year ago, Android Jelly Bean appeared on the Nexus 7 tablet and this brings with it several features that took the Operating System into another level. Users are provided with an easy to use  user interface. Users  also  got to see the Google voice search application which is Google’s answer to Siri. It also has the ability to re-arrange and re-size the shortcuts and have some widgets that will allow users to modify the home screen.

Notifications can be expanded and switched off. Its Android Beam allowed data transfer via Bluetooth and the camera application was improved. The browser looks like  Google Chrome mobile version.

Last October, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean was released and fixes a number of bugs. It also brought about lots of improvements in its user interface and the select button was added on its keyboard. It also has the ability to expand or collapse some notifications in just one finger. The Nexus 7 was given the ability to lock the home screen.

After Google brought Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, it came with a number of improvements and new features. These features include Photo Sphere for taking landscape photos and its Google keyboard with gesture typing becomes available as separate application.  Its operating system allowed the users to swipe straight to the camera from the lock screen along with several user accounts on tablets. There is also a new clock application that was provided; it also has a built in world clock, timer and stop watch.

It is also equipped with a day dream screen savers that will provide information even if the device is in idle. This will also allow users to respond to notifications received from the notification bar without the need to launch the application.

The latest version of Jelly Bean 4.2.2 brought with it lots of fixes for bugs in its Bluetooth audio streaming coupled with other fixes and enhancements. Other new features are new sounds for wireless charging and low battery. Users can still keep the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi icons pressed allowing them to switch between the on/off settings.

The download notifications also display the percentage and the estimated time left for application downloads. There is also a new Gallery application animation that allows faster loading. There are lots of handsets that will get this version of Android Jelly Bean in the coming days, but the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will be seen soon.
