The battle for smartphones in all brands is really heating up and each company is making sure that their product stands out than the other units. And of course, with a competition like this comes the great comparison of two units that are quite the same in features but it is a really great help for users to give them a guide on which phone is suited for them and which one is better. And for today, you will see the comparison between two units which seem to be very popular in the market and really gaining a lot of sale; the Samsung Galaxy SIV and the Sony Xperia Z. And here is the critic:
The Samsung Galaxy SIV has the advantage here because its processor can either be the 1.6GHz Exynox processor or the 1.9GHz Qualcomm processor while the Xperia Z runs on a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor.
The Xperia Z has a 5-inch TFT display with 1980x1080 with a brilliant 441ppi while the Samsung Galaxy SIV has a 5-inch AMOLED display which caters the same 1980x1080 and 441ppi. So it is considered a draw in terms of this category.
RAM and STORAGE:
Both has 2GB of Ram but the difference is that the Samsung Galaxy SIV can have an internal memory that can range from 16GB, 32GB or 64GB while the Sony Xperia Z only has 16GB internal memory, with a microSD which can expand it to 64GB.
This is where the comparison becomes complicated. The Samsung Galaxy SIV caters a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, HD video and image capture, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, HDR, LED flash, dual shot and image stabilisation. Whereas in the Sony Xperia Z, it has a 13.1-megapixel rear camera (with autofocus), panorama and the other features that the Samsung Galaxy SIV has on its camera. One difference is that the Sony Xperia Z sports a 2.2-megapixel front camera with 1080p @30fs while the Samsung Galaxy SIV has a 2-megapixel front camera also with the same 1080p @30fps feature.
The Samsung Galaxy SIV has the advantage here because it has a 2600mAh battery while the Sony Xperia Z only has 2330mAh non-removable battery.
Both units are running the latest Android Jellybean but for the SIV, its version is the 4.2.2 while the Xperia Z runs on 4.1.2 but plans an upgrade to 4.2 as well.
As you can see, both phones quite have the same features and both can run LTE but the only thing that the Samsung Galaxy SiV lacks is the stunning feature of the Sony Xperia Z which is the fact that it is water and dust resistant, which every user wants from their phone. Overall, both phones are awesome and showcase features that will really give you a headache in choosing which phone is better. The good news is, you can really see the effort in the mobile companies in making their products very excellent for the satisfaction of their customers. And in a span of a few months or a year, a lot of new models with excellent features are coming up to the market and once again making the competition between the mobile companies hotter.
