Did You Know the Samsung Galaxy Beam is Out Already?

No? Neither did anyone else. The Korean giants made a faux pas in terms of marketing the projector-smartphone. The new Samsung Galaxy Beam, which has a projector in the end of the handset to allow owners to project TV, videos and images onto a flat surface, should have been one of this year’s most innovative items but it seems to have missed the boat in terms of letting journalists and retailers know that the funky new handset was being shipped.

The new handset is set to fetch around £400 without a SIM card and around £31+ for contract phones. There is a risk that it is expensive as it runs on the Gingerbread 2.3 version of Google Android operating system, has a 4” 480 x 800 resolution screen and has a paltry 1GHz processor. It does have 8GB of storage and a 5MP rear camera but in today’s age we expect a little more especially from Samsung. The projector is obviously some hefty piece of engineering and technology as it is the first of its kind. Will it be the last? We’re not sure, but the fact is it’s a gimmick that many people might like to have, particularly for on-the-fly presentations and business use but for regular Joes it could be a one-off toy that will get pushed to the back of the drawer in a month or two.

Although, we could see school teachers being handed them for presentations to kids while on school trips and for other types of industries where it would be useful. In terms of it having any longevity we’ll have to wait and see. What we do know is that the stunning Samsung Galaxy S3 is selling like hot cakes. The white Samsung Galaxy SIII is extra special as the sleek handset is extra special in its lighter hue, and has helped contribute to the 10 million handsets being sold in just 2 months.

Launching in June, the stunning Galaxy S3 has been flying off the shelves and Mobile Phone Checker has never seen more hits on the site from people looking to compare Galaxy S3 contracts. As the site continues to be the very best for UK comparisons between PAYG SIM cards and contracts we can see that the Galaxy S3 obviously gets pride of place on the main, best-selling phones homepage.

If you’re looking for Samsung Galaxy SIII deals then take a look at the Mobile Phone Checker site to see which retailer has the best phone deals available right now and see what price you can get the most minutes, texts and data for. You’ll be able to buy it direct through the best retailer and lock in the price for the terms you want. Starting less than £25 for a white Samsung Galaxy S3 and less than £24 per month for the black Galaxy S3 you can have the Korean firm’s flagship model for a very reasonable amount in your hand in just a couple of days.
