Exciting times ahead for Stamford Homes’ new managing director

News   •   Nov 25, 2010 16:11 GMT

AWARD-WINNING new homes builder Stamford Homes has appointed Chris Bond as its new managing director.

Chris has taken up the post at the company’s Peterborough head office at a time when the business is looking to expand and move into new geographical areas.

With a background in civil engineering, Chris has moved into the housebuilding sector from his previous post as managing director within the Galliford Try Group (Stamford Homes’ parent company) based in Wolvey.

He said: “I am really excited to be here at a time when the group is pushing for aggressive growth within the housebuilding business. We have the perfect opportunity to buy a number of new sites, and to expand both in terms of volume and geography.”

Stamford Homes has recently announced new homes plans for Carholme Road in Lincoln, Greens Norton in Northamptonshire and St Ives in Cambridgeshire – which has already taken its first reservations.

Chris added: “In addition, we are looking to enter into some new areas in 2011 and to explore opportunities within Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Milton Keynes and Oakham to name a few.”

During his short time in post so far, Chris has visited all of Stamford Homes’ current developments.

He said: “Coming from a construction background I have been delighted to see first hand the quality of build and finish on our homes. Now is a great time to buy.”

Chris is married with two children and lives in South Leicester.

Galliford Try Homes was awarded Best Large Housebuilder of the Year at the recent Housebuilder awards.

Stamford Homes was awarded a Building for Life award this month, for their development at Fairfield Park.
