The hype regarding Samsung’s supposed newest flagship models has now reached an all-time fever pitch. Most headlines are now purportedly all about the latest anticipated smartphones the Korean giant will release – the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S4 Mini.
Well, the rumours are technically based on the reports released by website SamMobile just last week. According to them Samsung’s newest work-in-progress, also known as Project J, will include three new devices: the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S4 Mini and, what could be Samsung’s answer to Apple’s iWatch, the Galaxy Watch. In addition to these new devices, it was also reported that a number of accessories to go with these handsets are in the works including the Wireless Charging Kit, Clear Covers, Protective Covers and Flip Covers.
To add fuel to an already burning fire, it was also rumoured that the company was dead set on the Week 21 release this year. Which means that, if the grapevine is to be trusted, the following devices should be ready for consumers to pounce on either May 20 or May 26.
Various rumours had already plagued the internet since last year regarding the Galaxy S4. Leaked images of what this highly anticipated device will look like has also been the source of much debate in the Android-sphere. The leaked images of the Galaxy S4 shows a bigger screen with thinner bezel and features a SuperAMOLED display with 1080p resolution, 13-megapixel camera with 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB RAM and a quad-core 2GHz processor run by Android 4.2.1.
The Galaxy S4 Mini, on the other hand, was reported to feature a 4-inch touchscreen display with 1280 x 768 resolution.
Just last month, reports that seemed to confirm today’s latest rumour has surfaced when the Samsung’s Lebanon Facebook page has posted the Galaxy S4 will indeed be released in May but the post has since been deleted. Though most are convinced that the the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Mini will eventually push through, nobody is really quite sure with the Galaxy Watch so that would be another thing Samsung fans would need to look out for.
Despite the earlier statements release by the Korean conglomerate that it would not be unveiling its latest smartphone just yet at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February and would certainly not unveil a Galaxy S4 during the upcoming CES 2013, it hadn’t stopped the rumours from circulating nor the eager fans from anticipating what Samsung has in stored for them this year.
