Do you live in Shoreham or Southwick, and have you noticed any items missing from your car?

Police arrested a man in the area in the early hours of Wednesday 12 June, after he was found in possession of numerous items believed to have been stolen from vehicles left insecure.

The items include various keys, coins, charging cables, sunglasses, North Face gloves, car bulbs, an orange size 8 women’s raincoat, a Brighton and Hove carer’s badge, a carpenter’s plane, two woolly hats and a dash cam.

The suspect, a 44-year-old local man, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference and theft from a vehicle. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
