Just the other day, we came across an alleged photo, showing the HTC M8 (follow-up to the HTC One) on Twitter. The Twitter account responsible for the leak is @HTCFamily_RU. It showed the back of the device, revealing a twin-sensor camera and dual-LED flash. Apparently, the photo was nothing but a Photoshopped job, according to HTC director Mark Moons. Now, more photos of the rumoured handset have been leaked.

The new leak comes to us courtesy of Mobiltelefon.ru, a site based in Russia. Aside from the two leaked photos, the site has shed some light on some of the HTC One 2’s specs. The site says that the handset will sport a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. Powering the smartphone will be a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. The handset will allow you to snap photos with its rear-facing dual-sensor 5-megapixel Ultrapixel camera. It is said to sport on-screen navigation keys and Boomsound speakers. The site says that the handset will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat (we’d actually be surprised if it ran anything less).
@evleaks, a Twitter account notorious for spilling the beans on yet to be released devices, said that the HTC M8 would look a lot like its predecessor the HTC M7 (HTC One). This is definitely the case here, if the photos are genuine.
Of course, since HTC has remained tight-lipped about the HTC M8, treat this like any other rumour for now. The Taiwanese phone maker is expected to lift the lid on the device in late March. We’ll know by then if the rumours are true.
