The HTC One Mini has been widely rumoured in recent months, which comes as little surprise given the success of the HTC One. Following months of excitement and speculation about its potential features, the HTC One was finally announced by the Taiwanese manufacturer earlier this week.
As suggested by its name, the HTC One Mini is of course a smaller version of the company's flagship model, which comes with several downgraded specifications along with a more affordable price. Recently, GSM Arena has reported on the announcement of the phone, and published full details of its spec list.
The majority of rumours about the phone’s features appear to
have been accurate. For example, the phone comes with a 4.3 inch S-LCD2 display
with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and a resolution of 720p. The device sports a slightly
downgraded processor from its flagship counterpart, utilising a 1.4 GHz
dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, along with 1 GB of RAM. 16 GB of internal
storage is included, and although there is no microSD slot this level of
storage should suffice for the needs of most users. Android 4.2.2 Jellybean is
the operating system of choice for the HTC One Mini, which runs in conjunction
with HTC Sense 5.0 interface. Several software features from the HTC One are included
such as BlinkFeed, along with the same audio enhanced features like Beats Audio
and dual front facing stereo speakers. The device also sports a similar
aluminium chassis to the HTC One, so it certainly looks the part. Further reading on the HTC One Mini is available on our website, along with the best deals on HTC One contracts.
In terms of its camera specifications, they are virtually the same as the HTC One, with a 4 Ultrapixel camera, 1080p video capture and an led flash, along with the HTC Zoe application. The front facing camera has a resolution of 1.6 megapixels.
August 9th is the rumoured release date of the HTC One Mini in the UK, but we expect further details regarding its pricing and availability to be revealed shortly, so we will keep you posted.
