iPhone 3D camera for images and videos

Smartphones are getting more advanced camera technology thanks to various accessories that allow the quality of videos and images to improve. But did you know that there is a product that can turn your very own iPhone into a 3D camera? Doubt no more, because it’s time to introduce you to Poppy.

Poppy is a Kickstarter project product that can turn your iPhone into a 3D camera. True to its word, it can capture, view and share full motion videos and images in 3D. If you have an iPhone 4, 4s, 5 or a fifth-gen iPod Touch, you can fit it to the gadget and it will start to capture two stereographic images using a single camera. When you peek into the viewfinder, you’ll see the lenses combine two video streams and turn it into a single 3D video. Remember the Viewfinder toys that were so popular back in the 80’s and 90’s? Poppy is like that except that it can now turn your iPhone stuff into 3D. Another great thing about this product is that no batteries are needed.

Want to view YouTube videos on 3D? Poppy allows that with music videos, movie trailers and more media. Even popular camera and video apps like Vine or Camera Plus will work well with the product. An app for Poppy is being conceptualized. This will allow users to store their images and videos to their handsets as well as upload it on sites such as YouTube and more. Raising $121,134 and beating the $40,000 target with more days to go, the product is soon to reach its supporters near this year’s end.

Poppy is definitely an upgrade from the other camera accessories for iPhone and iPod. If you want to see your memories and others’ stuff in 3D, it is now possible with this product.
