iPhone 5 Prices on the Second Hand Market

Here at Mobile Phone Checker, we like to keep our ears to the ground and even though the iPhone 5S is still a rumour away, there are second-hand iPhone 5 deals on offer and we look at what the average prices are. There are reports that the iPhone 5S will be available to the public in September, but as such, we need to know where to get the best price for an iPhone 5 is.

As you’re now aware there are hundreds of recycling phone companies out there, but which one should you choose and which one will you get the most money from? There are reports that it might skip the 5S and go straight to the iPhone 6 but we can’t be certain about that just yet, however, the need to know how much your iPhone 5 is the most important aspect here.

O2 Recycle, Mazuma and Envirofone are the key players out there. Lots of people with an iPhone 5 will be on a contract or will have paid for the PAYG version of it and often would have paid more than £600 for it but with Apple being so popular right now the pull to the new phone is too much for some. Most people’s friends will want to try and sell theirs on eBay or to a friend, but the chances are that people will be figuring out how to pay for the new iPhone 5S as well. So, the iPhone 5 will get you around £243 but the 32GB will net you £256.50. There are O2 offers for the 64GB that will net you £266, and all dependent on the condition of the mobile.

From the other recycling sites there is around £270 being the top price for an iPhone 5, and when you compare that with others that are brand new, you’re better off sticking with the new one as not many people want to have a second hand phone. Granted it’s cheaper than others but it’s still not as special as opening the box of a brand new phone first hand. We have a wide range of PAYG SIM phones and SIM only phones available especially for the iPhone 5, so check them out.
