We've seen the 4, 4S, 5 and expect the 5S but news reports are calling the new iPhone the 5C! What on earth does the C mean? We have guessed at it being for "colour" and no longer will we see just white or black iPhones, as we've seen with Samsung, Nokia and HTC people like to express themselves with other colours, and we could see some garish iPhone in various hues very soon.
There have been leaked images from the Chinese factory with iPhone C stamped on it, which many people believe will stand for the word colour. While there are lightweight plastic versions of the iPhone on their way, we can't figure out a word that begins with C that might mean they are the plastic ones. Or can we? Does iPhone C stand for cheap? Cheap and plastic? It's worth a shout.
We are more interested in the Lite version or budget iPhone as we have seen the premium versions of the iPhone sell well but we're really interested to see Apple take on the cheaper, lighter versions of Samsung's Galaxy range. Apple has seen that Samsung has been clearing up in the lower end of hte market, and it means that previous technology from older models can be used. Remember the big recycling drive Apple was going on a few months back? We can assure you that this technology from the iPhone 4 and 4S will be put into the cheaper iPhone, meaning that Apple can collect yet more profits from recycling their own machinery. Clever huh? iPhone Clever? Maybe.
The iPhone 5 with its 4" display and array of tech will still continue to sell well once the new phone is launched, as did the iPhone 4S deals we saw last year. The iPhone 5 deals will become stronger and even more appealing for those that want a great phone and to save money in the process. Remember when the 4S was launched, did the S stand for speed as it was faster? Is the iPhone 5S going to be for speed or an additional sensor? We'll have to wait until September to find out.
