Is the New Galaxy S3 That Much Better Than the S2?

Since the Galaxy range has been selling people have been flocking to it in their millions every month which has meant that the firm has gobbled up more than 51% of the market share. This has led to the brand being more known now for its smartphones rather than the TVs, audio equipment and everything else the company makes. Despite the iPhone still taking large chunks out of the market, it’s Samsung that has wowed the public, particularly with its Galaxy S2. Now that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is due to hit the shelves later this month, we look at just how much better it is going to be.

Now, the Galaxy S2 was never lacking in the technology department but the new S3 is set to cause a stir. As we know there is going to be a quad-core 1.4GHz processor which is faster and less power hungry than the 1.2GHz chip that is in the S2. At the moment the Galaxy S2 has a 4.3” Super AMOLED screen but the S3 will boast a 4.8” screen. It comes with an S-Pen so it’s easy to navigate the screen and the case feels like of a higher market.

Inside the S2 has 16GB of internal memory whereas there is a choice of 16 or 32GB in the new Galaxy. The S3 will also be able to enhance it by the 64GB microSD card. Surprisingly the camera stays the same at 1.9MP for the front camera and 8MP for the rear. There is video recording available at 1080p, however, which brings stunning motion pictures to your smartphone. It still runs on the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and has TouchWizz overlaid. This is a fantastic collaboration that shouldn’t be changed – and that’s exactly why Samsung hasn’t!

As of today, there have been 10 million Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphones pre-ordered and it seems that the firm are waiting to hear of numbers before giving the exact launch date. If they can meet the demand, which is bound to double or treble by the end of May, then it could well be the most popular smartphone in history. If you want to pre-book your Samsung Galaxy S3 then head over to the mobile phone contract comparison chart and see which one suits your budget and needs, and buy direct from the cheapest retailer in your area.

With a whole host of Google’s products preloaded onto the S3 and millions of apps to download from Google Play, you’re without doubt going to lose hours and hours being encapsulated by the stunning screen and the myriad of funky things the phone can do. The larger screen simply brings that hybrid look that many manufacturers are going for to bridge the gap between smartphones and tablet PCs, meaning that it’s a little snipe at the iPad 3 although tablet fans can also buy the Galaxy Tab which still sells very well, if required.

So, if you want to get your hands on the newest Samsung Galaxy S3 then pre-order one today!
