Douglas Alexander MP, Labour’s Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary, commenting on research today from the Citizen's Advice Bureau on the increase in housing problems and actual or threatened homelessness, said:

“This research shows that many families are still struggling after this recession.  For a Government planning rushed and ill-thought through changes to Housing Benefit from next year, the numbers already concerned about homelessness should be a wake up call for them to reconsider.”
