The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has been a hot topic in recent months, which comes as little surprise given the critical acclaim and millions of sales clocked up by the current Galaxy Note 2 model. The device remains a market leader in the phablet niche, and one of the most sought after smartphone models on the market.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is likely to be one of the most advanced models to date from the South Korean manufacturer, and in recent months there has been plenty of speculation about potential features. Many signs point to the phone packing a huge 6 inch super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, Android Jellybean operating system and a 13 megapixel camera. While it is likely that the phone will utilise a plastic casing like the current Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2 models, several sources have speculated that the Galaxy Note 3 may be Samsung's first high end smartphone with an aluminium chassis, after the success of phones like the HTC One and Apple's iPhone 5.
Over the last few weeks, a number of purported leaked images of the Galaxy Note 3 have been appearing online. Android Authority has recently reported on the latest set of such images, and by its appearance it appears to back up a number of rumours about the device’s design. The pictured phone has a plastic casing and rounded corners like the Galaxy Note 2, but has a noticeably thinner bezel and high resolution screen, backing up rumours of a 6 inch 1080p display.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to be unveiled at the IFA event in Berlin this September. The same event was used in 2011 and 2012 to announce the original Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Note 2 respectively, so it seems logical that Samsung will use the same event to announce its latest phablet.
There have also recently been rumours of several new phablet
models hitting the market soon, such as the Sony Xperia Z Ultra HTC One Max.
While the Galaxy Note 3 will undoubtedly face stiff competition from such
devices, its high spec features and reputation of the Galaxy Note 2 will
certainly make the Galaxy Note 3 a key player in the phablet niche. All Samsung Galaxy Note 3 deals will be compared on our website when the phone has been released.
