The Nokia EOS has been the subject of plenty of rumours and widespread speculation in recent months, and is set to be one of the most advanced models to date from the Finland based manufacturer.

Leaked images of the device have been posted online several times in the last few months, and Phones Review has reported on a latest set of images. These appear to show closer images of the device which appears to sport an aluminium casing which has long been one of its most rumoured features. Furthermore, the back of the handset has a circular groove, which we believe will be used to house its advanced camera components. The standout feature of the Nokia EOS is expected to be its camera, with rumours of a 41 megapixel PureView sensor with Carl Zeiss optics. Of course, this would make it perhaps the most advanced camera phone on the market.

Of course, such a high-end camera would be the phone’s standout feature and main selling point. However, we expect plenty of other impressive features to be included on the Nokia EOS. Recent rumours have suggested that the device is also likely to include a ClearBlack display, dual-core processor and Windows Phone 8 operating system, which will no doubt see the addition of a number of Nokia's impressive software applications like Nokia Music, City Lens and HERE Maps. Of course, the device would directly compete with phones like the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, which is the manufacturer's new high spec camera phone. However, early indications suggests that the camera components of the Nokia EOS are far more advanced, so is likely to become a top choice for those who want a high-end camera features on a smartphone.

Interestingly, the leaked images of the Nokia EOS appear to have been taken from the phone's production line, suggesting that production of Nokia EOS handsets is already underway. The device is yet to be officially announced by the Finnish manufacturer, but it is expected to take place on the 11th of July at a press event in New York. This would suggest that Nokia is gearing up to release the phone at some point in summer.

With speculation about the Nokia EOS picking up speed recently, we expect to hear more news about its features and availability along with further leaked images in the near future. When more news about the phone becomes available, we will be sure to keep you updated.
