We have arrested one man and seized a quantity of drugs on Sunday, 9 June.
At around 7pm, patrols in Douglas Road stopped a private hire taxi, upon seeing patrols, the male passenger appeared nervous and was stop checked and detained on Clovelly Road following a pursuit after he made off on foot.
The 23-year-old man from West Derby was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B, Amphetamine.
The man was later released under investigation.
Inspector Matthew Farmer said: “Every arrest we make should serve as a reminder that we will not stand by and allow crime on our streets, and I hope this activity reassures the wider public that we are determined to make our communities safer places to live.
“The public play a crucial role in helping us root out those who are intent on creating fear and harm in the very communities they live in.
“We need communities to keep engaging with us, so that we can disrupt this criminal activity with their help.”
