Lots of rumours of the Google X phone have been strewn around the Internet, and now that there are many accessories available, it seems to be a dead cert for production. As the story goes, the Motorola X phone will go on sale in October, but we have heard news that it could well be a summer release for the new Google device.
Many months ago, we leaked that the spec list would look something like a 1.7GHz MSM8960 Pro dual-core processor, 2GB RAM, 720 HD display, 10MP rear camera and 16GB internal memory as well as a 2MP front camera. It should run on the 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system but with Key Lime Pie in the wings it could well be the lead phone for running the new system.
The reason there are definite production talks are the accessories that are being developed. There are carbon fibre cases, screen protectors, silver carbon fibre screen protectors as well as mock wood cases, brushed steel ones and brushed aluminium ones. Many people are excited with the new phone that is coming from Google and Motorola, especially after the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 hits of last year.
As there are cases and screen protectors already being shown off at various events it seems that we could see the Motorola X sooner than you think. It could well be your new summer phone release especially as the new iPhone is due out in September or October. With a good PR plan, Google and Motorola could see off the competition from Apple and snap up mobile phone contract deals before the release of the iPhone 5S.
