Now that we have seen the release of flagship smartphones from the majority of leading smartphone manufacturers it is time to turn our attention to Apple, the one company yet to release a new phone this year.  We are expecting to see the new iPhone 5S arrive soon and new reports are suggesting that the model will be released along with the much reported new budget iPhone as well as a new iPad Mini tablet.

Over the past few months we have been hearing an increasing amount of speculation relating to a new budget iPhone and new reports suggest that the device will begin to ship in August along with the new, more premium model the iPhone 5S.  Apple fans look set to be in for a treat as the report also mentions that a brand new iPad Mini tablet will arrive at around the same time.  Early stages of production are already underway and in July we will see mass component shipments begin for the new models.  Apple traditionally use manufacturing partner Foxconn to produce their new device but it looks as though the bulk of production this time will be undertaken by another partner named Pegatron.  None of these new models have yet to be confirmed by Apple but already industry analysts are predicting the kind of numbers that Apple can expect to shift.  KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo has suggested that 35.8 million iPhone 5S devices will be shipped and an even more impressive 53.4 million of the new cheaper model.

The new version of the iPad Mini which has been mentioned in these reports is set to offer improved screen quality from the original device.  Apple are set to include a new Retina Display panel in the new model that will offer higher quality images and improved resolution which is set to be 1080P standard.  With regards to the new, cheaper iPhone model it is set to feature a plastic chassis rather than the more premium metal build that will feature on the iPhone 5S.  This is one way that will enable Apple to keep productions costs to a minimum which will in turn help them retail the phone at a very wallet friendly price.  This in turn will help the company to secure a foothold in the midrange of the phone market, an area where they have previously offered no real competition to rival manufacturers.  See which networks will be offering the 5S iPhone from Apple

It looks as though the new iPhone 5S will not be the only new Apple device to arrive during the third quarter of the year and a new iPad Mini and budget iPhone are also set to be launched alongside the new premium phone.
