Per Troen announced he is to step down from the Danish-UK Chamber of Commerce. Per Troen founded the DUCC in 1989 and has held his position for over twelve years. The announcement was made on May 3rd at the annual AGM dinner at Drapers Hall.
Under Per Troen’s lead as founder and senior partner at Corren Troen, the Anglo-Nordic Law Firm in London, the DUCC has actively promoted trade and investment between Denmark and the UK by providing companies from both countries with a dynamic and pro-active business forum in the UK.
Per Troen will be handing over the position to Louis de Courcy Wheeler, who began a second term on the Board of Directors of DUCC since 2010. Educated at Eton and at Oxford University, he is the owner/director of Wheeler Grant Ltd, and has undertaken interim management and consulting roles at CEO and Director level. Louis has 34 years international commercial experience in BP, fulfilling global leadership roles, including business development and operations in the B2B sector. He has also been involved in major global change management projects. Louis lived and worked in Denmark for over 2 years, and has chaired subsidiary businesses in Scandinavia, Benelux and the UK, including BP Gas Danmark A/S.
Louis has undertaken several industry representative roles, chairing two UK industry associations, and represented the UK in two European industry associations. He is a member of the Institute of Directors, the Professional Contractors Group, and the Federation of Small Businesses.
