Reports of Nokia working on a Windows Phone handset with a 41-megapixel camera have been making rounds on the internet for quite some time now. According to previous reports, it has been codenamed the EOS and was later revealed to be called the Lumia 1020 upon launch. Now, a photo of the handset has been leaked. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm if it sports the massive camera, since the back of the device is not shown.
The leak comes to us courtesy of Evleaks, a Twitter account notorious for leaking devices that have not been officially revealed. It shows a device running Windows Phone 8 just like the Lumia 925. However, it does not show what excites us the most about the device, the camera. The only way to see this is by showing the back of the device. No photo of the Lumia 1020’s rear is shown. The only thing Evleaks says is, “Nokia Lumia 1020 for AT&T, 2013.”
Although it’s disappointing that no photo of the device’s rear was shown, we’re sure more leaks of the device will follow in days or weeks to come. So keep your eyes peeled for more updates.
