New photos have leaked the rear casing of the iPad Mini 2, follow-up to the current iPad Mini. The new photos reveal that the upcoming tablet will look similar to its predecessor.
The leaked photos come from FanaticFone. The site reports, “So yesterday we leaked pictures of the iPad 5 rear housing, and today we’ve got another leak for you; the rear housing of the iPad Mini 2!
“However, this leak is a bit disappointing, and not surprising as the rear housing of the new iPad Mini 2 is identical to its predecessor, the iPad Mini.
“Another thing to notice is that both the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2 Apple logo is no longer only printed on the cover but the logo is now its own mold implemented into the rear housing.”
It adds, “One thing you are probably noticing is that the name “iPad” is missing from the rear housing, while we know for sure that this is the authentic part, we cannot say for sure if this is the prototype or the final version.”
It a bit disappointing that the new iPad Mini will look similar to its predecessor. We hope, however, that Apple gives us a few surprises once we take a look under the hood. According to previous reports, the iPad Mini 2 will sport a retina display just like its bigger brother.
