Predicting the future

Lottery numbers, football scores, election results – there are some things in life that we simply cannot predict, however hard we try. When preparing business continuity plans though, it is always helpful to have some idea of what the future may hold. If you know the threats your organization may face then you will already be in a better position to deal with them should they materialise.

This is the purpose of the BCI’s annual Horizon Scan survey – to capture a consolidated view of what the short term issues are that business continuity practitioners are concerned about. It is those people working on the frontline of business continuity who are best placed to explore this through their assessment of current trends and their own experience.

The survey can be found by clicking on the link and should take no more than a few minutes. It will remain open until the 20th December so please do take the time to complete it. The results will be presented in a report to be published at the end of January 2014.
