On Friday 27 th November, ID Medical was a proud sponsor of Milton Keynes Hospital Charity’s Winter Ball at Abbey Hill Golf Club in Milton Keynes.

The magical evening, which celebrated the remarkable achievements of Leo’s Appeal, involved delicious food, a lively atmosphere and fun-filled activities, such as casino tables and an auction, as the charity showed their appreciation for others’ support, whilst raising a phenomenal £5,000 on the night.

With a shared aim of improving patient care, fundraising at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity enables wards and departments to go over what the NHS provides – funding specific and tangible items such as:

  • State of the art equipment
  • Comfort items for patients
  • Special advanced training for members of staff
  • Pilots for new patient-care initiatives
  • New welcoming and positive environments for everyone treated in our hospital

The aim of ‘Leo’s Appeal’ is to raise £200,000 to enhance children’s care services at Milton Keynes Hospital, and so it encourages the Milton Keynes community to help the hospital go above and beyond for local children and their families.

Through numerous and ongoing fundraising activities, ID Medical has contributed £7,300 to the charity’s ultimate goal – though its support goes beyond donations.

As the first recruitment organisation to be approached by the hospital charity, ID Medical has fundraised to fund specific items for the Children’s ward whilst playing a significant role in bringing communities together from Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.

With all the money raised, ID Medical has purchased its first chair bed so parents can stay with their sick child. Its continued support and fundraising efforts will go towards purchasing additional beds for the hospital and supporting the recently launched Cancer Centre.
