Re-appeal to find missing elderly man - Maidenhead

Thames Valley Police is re-appealing for the public’s help in tracing a missing elderly man who went missing from Maidenhead more than two years ago.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Amanda Winterbourne said: “It has been more than two years since Michael Asher went missing.

“Our investigation to find Michael is still ongoing and today I am re-appealing to the public for their help in finding Michael.

“Our enquiries have established that Michael exited the number 5 bus at the bus stop on Grenfell Place in Maidenhead on 31 March 2017.

“Michael then went to Maidenhead railway station and took a train to Poole.

“Later on the same day, Michael then travelled by bus from Swanage to Bournemouth.

“Michael is 84-years-old, white, 6ft, slim, with grey receding hair. When he was last see he was wearing a beige jacket, brown trousers, brown shoes and a cream baseball cap.

“We would urge anyone who might have seen Michael or who may know of his whereabouts to contact police by calling 101 quoting reference 43170096477.”
