A report says the successor of the LG Optimus G (check out LG Optimus G here), the Optimus G2, will come with buttons on the back of the device and will be officially unveiled on the 7th of August.
The news comes to us courtesy of TechTastic (check out TechTastic here). The site reports, “Qualcomm and LG already confirmed the news earlier this week that they are working on a new smartphone with the powerful Snapdragon 800-soc, and today we received information from our tipster that this processor will power the upcoming LG Optimus G2 (LG-D800). We can also confirm that LG will use their New York event on August 7 to announce this new device, LG’s event is planned in August to make sure that this flagship device will have ‘clear air’ ahead of the Galaxy Note III announcement during IFA 2013 Berlin, which will start in early September.
“Last month we also showed you how the Optimus G2 looks in real life and now we also have a couple of screenshots of the interface as well. On the screenshots below you can see that the 1080p device will have on-screen keys, which simply means that the device won’t have any buttons at the bottom of the device. According to our source it will be the best device the company has ever produced, with an impressive edge-to-edge display, Snapdragon 800-soc and buttons on the back of the device.”
