Report says Samsung will unveil Tizen in October

What do you think Samsung has in store for us in October? Will it be yet another variant of the Galaxy S4 smartphone? Nope. A report is saying that the Korean tech giant will unveil the Tizen OS at its Developers Conference.

The news comes to us courtesy of Tizen Indonesia, an Indonesian blog, via always reliable SamMobile. The site reports, “Looks like October might be the month when Samsung finally takes the wraps off Tizen and shows it off to the whole world in an official capacity – according to Tizen Indonesia, Samsung will be unveiling its upcoming OS at the Samsung Developers Conference, which is set to take place on October 26-27 in San Francisco, California, and will also be having several sessions to discuss about the OS with developers and the company’s partners.

“If Tizen does get announced at the developers conference, it will mean the previous rumor about Samsung launching the first Tizen smartphone in October in five countries might turn out right as well (though it will probably hit markets in November / December).”
