Samsung is continuing to hit headlines in the mobile phone business, of course due to recent commercial success achieved by its latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S4. While Samsung is noted for its high end offerings, the South Korean manufacturer also offers plenty of impressive Android smartphones with a more affordable price tag. Among Samsung's most popular budget Android devices is the Galaxy Ace range, which are more affordable but still include plenty of impressive features.

Of course, not everybody will be interested in owning a smartphone the highest possible specifications, so there are plenty of people in the market for a cheaper alternative. The original Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Ace 2 have sold millions of units thanks to their cheap costs and decent spec lists. A new version called the Galaxy Ace 3 has now been officially announced, according to Samsung Tomorrow, the company's official blog.

The device has a similar appearance to previous Galaxy Ace models, offering plenty of upgraded specifications on par with even more expensive competitors. Key features of the phone include a 4 inch WVGA touchscreen, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 5 megapixel camera, 4 GB internal storage with microSD support, Android Jellybean operating system with TouchWiz interface and a 1500mAh battery. Although the device does not have the most advanced spec list in terms of hardware, it certainly ticks all the boxes, especially considering its likely low price tag. The phone also offers a very similar software package to the Galaxy S4, and comes with the same package of Samsung software applications found on higher end devices, including S Voice, Smart Stay, S Translator and S Travel. Samsung has also announced a separate LTE version of the phone, which includes a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 8 GB of storage capacity and an upgraded 1800mAh battery.

There is currently no information available regarding the availability and pricing of the Galaxy Ace 3, but we expect to hear more info soon, so we will be sure to keep you updated, and list the cheapest Galaxy Ace3 contracts.
