A number of exciting new smartphone models are set to be launched later this year, but one of most eagerly anticipated in recent months has been the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The phone will be following in the footsteps of the current Galaxy Note 2 model, which continues to dominate the phablet niche with widespread critical acclaim and millions of sales under its belt.
In recent weeks, potential features of the Galaxy Note 3 have been a hot topic, with plenty of rumours and a number of leaked images of purported Galaxy Note 3 prototype handsets hitting the internet. The spec list of the Galaxy Note 3 is currently believed to include a 13 megapixel camera, Android Jellybean operating system, S-Pen stylus and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset. Of course, the phone is also expected to pack a huge touchscreen, being a phablet smartphone. While the current Galaxy Note 2 model is a huge device on account of its 5.5 inch super AMOLED display, the touchscreen of the Galaxy Note 3 has previously been rumoured to measure 6 inches. However, Sammobile has recently reported that new reports have suggested that it may measure 5.7 inches. This information was originally tipped by @evleaks on Twitter. The source has a proven track record when it comes to information about unreleased smartphones, and in recent months has provided plenty of accurate information about a number of devices before they were even unveiled by their manufacturers.
Because a 5.7 inch touchscreen for the Galaxy Note 3 has
been suggested by such a prominent source, this information is certainly worth
paying attention to. Additionally, it seems like a more likely progression from
a 5.5 inch touchscreen of the current model. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 monthly contracts are compared on our website.
It is widely believed that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Note 3 in early September, at the IFA event. Coinciding with this time frame, it has also been recently reported that Samsung will begin placing component orders for the Galaxy Note 3 imminently, with mass production believed to commence in early August.
With so much excitement surrounding the features and release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, we expect much more information about the phone to be revealed over the next few weeks. When more details are available, we will be sure to keep you posted.
