The Samsung Galaxy S4 (click here to see more on the Samsung Galaxy S4) is one of the slimmest handsets in the market. This is why you may think that the smartphone is frail. Well, according to a video, this isn’t the case at all.

The video was posted by Samsung Tomorrow (click here to watch video). The video is in Korean, but at least there are captions to help you understand what’s going on.

Samsung puts the S4 through torture tests it calls a reliability test. The first test is called the “consecutive drop test.” Here, a machine drops it consecutive times. Although dropped numerous times, it still works.

The second test is called the “free-fall test.” Here, a machine drops the S4 from a considerable height. Again, the phone still works after dropped numerous times.

The third test is called the “tumble test.” Here, a machine tumbles the phone around just like a washing machine would. Yet again, it still manages to work.

The fourth test is called the “impact test,” wherein a heavy weight is dropped on the screen. The Galaxy S4 survives this test as well.

We all know what would happen if you were to dunk your phone in water. Usually, it ends up with you getting a new phone. This isn’t the case with the S4. In a test called the “sink test,” it survives after being submerged in water for “dozens of seconds.”

The last test is called the “temperature & humidity torture test.” Here, the handset is put in a machine with enough humidity to instantly melt butter and ice. Of course, the S4 survives.
