With almost a billion apps to choose from, the Sky+ app is the one that most people will download and find irreplaceable. It was updated earlier this month to let people utilise the On Demand button and lets you save and record your favourite TV shows and movies, even when you’re nowhere close to your Sky box.
There are a range of Android apps that have their uses and the fact that the Sky+ app has been in the news for the wrong reasons lately, the new update for the Android version of the app means that the service is back where it belongs; at the top of the pile. Sky has updated and upgraded the app so that users can save and record their set top box to point at movies and TV programs that they would have otherwise missed. You know that most TV programs are repeated anyway these days or have a +1 channel, but still, you’ll find that the ones that aren’t, which are usually on BBC, won’t be played again and that’s where you need the Sky+ app on your smartphone.
The update of Sky+ means that the On Demand features have a new interface to play around with and it means you can search as you would in Google for TV listings using keywords. The Sky+ app will then display those TV programs on your screen so you can choose the right one for you. This means that you can record it with the touch of a button and never miss a show ever again. You can also direct the device using regional settings if you have Multiroom.
We’ll most likely see the Sky Go update that iOs got recently for Android phones and it means that it’s just going to get better and better.
