Take That are a five-piece pop group comprising Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams. Formed in Manchester in 1990, Take That achieved major success, selling more than 25 million records between 1991-96 before disbanding in 1996. Take That reformed in 2005 without Robbie Williams and achieved new success as a four-piece scoring a string of chart hits whilst taking the number of records sold to over 40 million worldwide. Robbie Williams’ return to Take That was confirmed on 15 July 2010. Take That have had 22 top forty singles in the UK alone, 11 of which have reached #1 as well as having five number 1 albums.

Take That released their debut album Take That & Party on 17 August 1992. Take That & Party was certified as 2x Platinum in the UK, reached #2 in the UK album chart and stayed in the chart for 19 weeks. Take That released their second album Everything Changes on 11 October 1993. Everything Changes reached number one in the UK Album Chart, was the 3rd best selling album of 1993 in the UK and has been certified as 4x Platinum in the UK. Take That released their third studio album Nobody Else on 5 May 1995; it reached number one in the UK, German, Dutch and Swiss charts.

Robbie Williams was unhappy with his musical ideas not being taken seriously by lead singer Gary Barlow and Nigel Martin-Smith. Robbie Williams quit Take That after being confronted by Gary Barlow and Jason Orange. Take That formally announced on 13 February 1996 that they were disbanding. Take That reformed in 2005 without Robbie Williams and achieved new success as a four-piece scoring a string of chart hits whilst taking the number of records sold to over 40 million worldwide. Take That’s fourth & comeback album, Beautiful World was released on 24 November 2006, which entered the UK album chart at #1 and has been certified as 8x Platinum in the UK. Take That released their fifth studio album The Circus on 28 November 2008; it reached the top of the UK album charts on 7 December 2008, remained there for 5 weeks and has been certified double platinum in Europe (including the UK and Ireland).

On 15 July 2010, Robbie Williams announced his return to Take That. Take That would release their upcoming sixth studio album Progress on 22 November 2010. Progress is the first album of Take That to feature original five-piece line-up since their reformation in 2005. Robbie Williams is working on a Take That album after 14 years.

Take That are set to announce UK Tour 2011, for the support of their upcoming sixth studio album, Progress. Take That's reunion tour is said to be an epic 58-date extravaganza to top 2009's record-breaking The Circus Tour. Promoters SJM Concerts are trying to ensure a maximum number of venues available for comeback tour of Robbie William with Take That and it's thought more than two million tickets will be sold. It's unclear whether SJM Concerts or Take That will announce all 58 dates at once or not. SJM Concerts are arranging major UK arenas with a series of concerts almost fixed at London's Wembley Stadium from 1-10 July 2011. Take That's UK Tour 2011 will see original line-up including Robbie Williams perform live after 15 years in UK.
