The AppStore Has Many Alternative Web Browsers For The iPhone 4S

As one of the bestselling smartphones on the market, the Apple iPhone 4S boasts a spec list which includes many impressive features.  While this is a very versatile smartphone, it is particularly known for its capabilities as a web browsing device.  In this article, I will look at some of the alternative web browsers for are commonly downloaded to enhance users’ web browsing experiences.

Like previous iPhone models as well as iPads, the iPhone 4S comes preinstalled with the Safari web browsing app.  This is the smartphone optimised version of Apple's desktop web browsing software.  This has many features in common with just about every other web browsing package, and the same is true of the iPhone app.  Many people though, choose to download alternatives to Safari, so below I will look at some of the alternatives.

One of the most popular web browsing apps downloaded from the AppStore and Google Play Store alike is Google Chrome.  Like safari, this is the smartphone optimised version of the computer software.  While essentially carries out the same functions as safari and most other web browsers, it stands out for the fact that it offers seamless compatibility with other Google services.  If you regularly use YouTube, Google+, Google play, Google maps or Gmail for example, then the Google Chrome app makes a great choice.

Another popular iPhone 4S web browsing app is Opera Mini.  This is one of the more unique web browsing apps, as it differs to most others in the way it functions and performs.  Rather than include loads of necessary features, this app is designed to be as streamlined and simple as possible.  This ensures that it is not just easy to use, but it also provides a much faster internet browsing experience.  This is especially true due to the fact that website data is compressed on the Opera servers rather than on the iPhone 4S itself.  This means that websites load faster than with other browsers, and it also means that you will use up significantly less of your data allowance, should you have such restrictions on your monthly iPhone 4S tariff.

Of course, there are plenty of other web browsing apps available for the iPhone 4S, and each have their own benefits.  While there is nothing wrong with Safari per se, users are free to choose the apps that best suits your needs and preferences to ensure the best web browsing experience.
