We traditionally see the new iPhone device arrive towards the end of the third quarter and this year the iPhone 5S will also arrive around that time. This tradition is expected to change next year if rew reports are to be believed as Apple are planning to release the iPhone 6 in the first quarter of next year.

We are now seeing news emerge that suggests that we will see next year's Apple iPhone arrive much earlier than we would normally see a new device from the company. The iPhone 6 is set to be released in the first quarter of 2014. Apple have chosen to bring forward the release of the model to enable them to compete with other rival models which will be launched at the same time of year. We normally see a new iPhone released towards the end of the third quarter or the beginning of the fourth. Patently Apple which which is a renowned tech site have provided us with this latest news report in which they commented "A new report today is citing a note by Citi Research saying that Apple will launch an iPhone with 4.8-inch screen next year. Contrary to Apple's traditional iPhone events held in September, Citi's note says that the larger iPhone design is being scheduled to debut in Q1 2014". In other news surrounding iPhone devices, it has also been reported that there will be a cheaper version of the iPhone released prior to the launch of the iPhone 6.

The name iPhone 6 has not been directly mentioned, however the report specifies the 2014 iPhone and if we are to believe speculation we will see the arrival of the iPhone 6 next year. The next iPhone in line for release is the iPhone 5S which we will see later this year. It has been suggested that the 5S could be the cheaper model that has been rumoured. Patently Apple's story mentions that the next generation handset will boast a 4.8 inch screen, which is sure to please many Apple fans. The current iPhone sports a 4 inch display which is significantly smaller than that found on other devices such as those on Android. The new much larger display will enable Apple to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One.  For comparisons on iPhone 6 terms click here
