The Samsung Galaxy S3 Boasts Handy Organisation Apps

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is the ideal smartphone for staying organised, thanks to a number of built in apps which come as part of the new version of the Samsung TouchWiz UI. In this article I will take a closer look at some of these apps and their benefits.

The alarm app on the galaxy S3 has a handy feature called Briefing Alarm. This works in conjunction with the alarm which will sound as normal for the time it is set to, but rather than the standard alarm tone it will give you information about the day ahead. It will tell you the time, the weather, news headlines and your schedule for the day, should you have any appointments, meetings or other entries in your calendar and organiser apps. This feature is ideal for those who live busy lifestyles, as it reminds you of anything you have planned for the day ahead.

An app called S-Planner is an advanced calendar app. As with most calendar and organiser apps you can enter your plans for the day, but this allows you to categorise your events, whether they be business meeting and appointments, or social plans. The app allows you to set reminders for a specific time before the event. For example you can set a reminder for a birthday a couple of days beforehand so you do not forget to buy a card and gift.

If you need to make a quick note or jot down an idea on the go but do not have a pen and paper handy, you can use the S-Note app. This is basically a simple notepad app, which allows you to use your finger as a pen. But thanks to the handset's built in handwriting recognition technology, it can be instantly converted to digital text and you can then paste this onto SMS and email messages etc. This is much faster than using the onscreen QWERTY keyboard and many will find it more convenient.

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy S3 has an S-Voice feature which is comparable to the Siri app found on the popular Apple iPhone 4S. This allows you to carry out any tasks of the native Android apps, simply by using voice commands. Of course, this app is excellent for staying organised and making day to day life easier.

As you can see, the Samsung Galaxy S3 perfectly demonstrates how smartphone can be used to stay organised in an age where we have increasingly busy lifestyles.
