This week is National Compact Week and is an opportunity for residents of Tower Hamlets to get more information on how to volunteer in local projects.
The commitment and contribution of volunteers is vital and Tower Hamlets local compact (the compact sets out how organisations across the sectors in Tower Hamlets want to work together) is one of the largest providers of volunteering opportunities within the borough.
The compact recognises the distinct but often shared roles of community and statutory organisations in improving the quality of life for everyone living and working in the borough.
National Compact Week aims to remind people that there are plenty of volunteering opportunities in the area that Tower residents can get involved in. Tower Hamlets CVS will be putting on training about how organisations can best use the compact and what resources are available to them.
