Windows Phone Huawei Ascend W2 leaked – said to land in June

Twitter account Evleaks is notoriously known for leaking unofficial handsets. It has leaked another smartphone the Windows Phone 8-powered Huawei Ascend W2, which is the follow-up to the Ascend W1.

If you pay closer attention to the PR photo leaked by the Twitter account, you’ll notice that the handset is thinner than its predecessor. You will also notice that it is curvier. According to reports, the rumoured Windows Phone handset will be taking center stage in Huawei’s event, which will be kicking off in June.

According to past reports, the Ascend W2 will have a 720p 4.3-inch touchscreen, an 8-megapixel camera, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 chip, and 1GB of RAM for added performance. Reports add that the phone will cost somewhere in between £180 to £200.

If these leaks are anything to go by, the Huawei Ascend W2 will be a contender of the Nokia Lumia 620, the Finnish firm’s more affordable Windows Phone handset.

Of course, since Huawei is yet to reveal the Ascend W2, take this information with a pinch of salt. However, given the reputation of Evleaks for being accurate, don’t count them out just yet.
