Holiday carrier starts weekly flights from Oslo Airport to Izmir during the summer season.
On Thursday 15 May, SunExpress – a joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines – will launch direct flights from Oslo Airport to Izmir.
“SunExpress has been operating in the Norwegian market for a long time, with flights to Antalya and Izmir from several Norwegian cities,” says Andreas Thams, Director Commercial of SunExpress.
“We’re now giving Norwegians the chance to explore the many historical sites and enjoy the long sandy beaches in beautiful Turkey.”
The direct route to Izmir will operate every Thursday during the summer season, from May to October, but, in time, SunExpress hopes to be able to provide an all-year route. The route will be operated by one of Sun Express’ Boing 737 aircraft.
“We are very pleased to welcome SunExpress to Oslo Airport and to be able to add Izmir to our varied and extensive map of destinations,” says media manager Joachim Westher Andersen.
“Turkey is a popular holiday destination for Norwegian tourists. This route will give our passengers a broader selection to choose from,” Andersen concludes.
