At noon today, the new Oslo Airport was officially opened, courtesy of Minister of Transport and Communications, Ketil Solvik-Olsen. Norway’s main airport opened within budget and on time. The increased capacity is at approx. 32 million passengers annually.

A total of five operators have been selected to serve food and beverages to the passengers at Norway's main airport.

Yesterday marked the start of the "Connecting Norway" trial project at Oslo Airport. Passengers arriving from abroad with a connecting flight in Norway will no longer have to collect their luggage in the baggage hall and recheck their bags. Minister of Transport and Communications Ketil Solvik-Olsen visited the airport today to check out the new system.
