A Closer Look At The New HTC Incredible S

Press Release   •   Feb 27, 2011 16:32 GMT

The first part of 2011 has seen the launch of a brand new range of handsets from popular manufacturers HTC. The "S" range has seen 3 new models released, with the highlight of these being the excellent Incredible S, a phone that looks as great as it performs.

Many of the latest handsets available boast excellent multi media features, and the new Incredible S is no exception, with performance on audio, video and photography surpassing what you would expect to find. Video wise, the unit keeps up with latest trends by offering high definition capture. What this means is that the phone records in a resolution of 720 progressively scanned lines, the minimum standard required for footage to be regarded as High Definition. Hand in hand with the video footage goes the still camera facility, and this impresses thanks to a high resolution that capture 8 million pixels, 3 million more than you will find on devices such as the HTC Desire. The quality of snaps is helped by the phone offering an autofocus, ensuring you alway get the perfect picture, along with a dual LED flash, perfect for capturing the moment whilst on a night out with friends. Perhaps the most useful of all the multi media features is the audio player, enabling you to carry all your favourite CD's around with you all of the time. File formats should not prove a problem as the phone supports most, including MP3 and AAC+. Combined with a 3.5mm headphone jack, the phone proves a superb portable audio player, regardless of the multiple other functions it supports.

The HTC Incredible S uses the 2.2 Froyo version of the Android operating system, with users easily able to update to 2.3 soon. Alongside the operating system, HTC once again use their own user interface named Sense, a system which makes the day to day use of the phone both simple and logical. One area that Sense really benefits is in the social networking department. Instead of needing to log into each individual account in order to view and post, the Sense system aggregates them all together in one place. When viewing items such as this, the whole process is helped by the fact that the screen on the Incredible measures 4 inches, not only offering plenty of size but also giving great quality thanks to the resolution of 480 x 800 accompanied by 16 million colours. HTC have produced a handset which is a joy to use and a pleasure to look at. The media facilities on the Incredible S surpass all expectations, and the general user friendliness and speed of the phone make it a sure fire hit.

The HTC Incredible S and the Alcatel 710 White are available now.
