Leading cloud hosting provider, Commensus have announced that they will be partnering with Dynamics AX and NAV vendors to provide infrastructure solutions for the 2012 hosted editions of Microsoft’s leading ERP systems. The Infrastructure as a Service specialist will be offering this service for only £23 per user per month and will be seeking to open strategic partnerships with Dynamics AX and NAV vendors over the next months.
Since August 2011, Microsoft have been steering the CRM, AX and NAV markets towards the hosted versions by driving down the cost of licensing by almost a third. According to The Cloud Industry Forum, 76% of end users are looking at Cloud deployments in 2012, however many Microsoft partners are resisting this change in favour of an on-premise solution - mainly because they don’t have the skills or resources to deploy their own Private Cloud. Commensus aim to bridge the gap between end users and the Cloud by offering partners the ability to white label their infrastructure solution and preserve the relationships with their customers.
Commensus CTO, Alex Parker commented, “Many partners are looking for an independent Cloud Computing provider. The challenge for partners is that many of these Cloud specialists also have a vetted interest in their customers. By partnering with Commensus, partners enjoy the benefits of a completely secure cloud with the confidence of knowing that they can safeguard their association with their customers”.
The Commensus Virtual Infrastructure Platform, known fondly as C-VIP, boasts full geographical replication between its London data centres and has business continuity and resilience at both hardware and data centre levels. Parker comments how his infrastructure, “…guarantees uptime and provides a scalable solution with no upfront costs whilst utilising leading vendors such as VMware, HP, EMC and Cisco throughout our UK data centres”.
Dynamics Worlds Chief Executive, Chris Merchant has today also added his endorsement to the Cloud vendor by naming them as their preferred hosting partner on the forums website. Merchant commented, “Dynamics World has always prided itself on being an independent source of information for Dynamics end users and partners. We’ve searched the market and believe that Commensus are best placed to support Dynamics partners in moving to the Cloud with the 2012 deployments.”
