Addenbrooke's audiologists along with staff from the Emmeline centre and the Hearing Impaired Teens group are looking for nominations for Cambridge's first Deaf Teen of the Year award.
Presented at the 'Moving On' event on 19 October, the awards are designed to celebrate exceptional local teens and raise awareness of the Hearing Impaired Teens group's work.
Hearing Impaired Teens
The Hearing Impaired Teens group is made up of professionals from healthcare and education establishments from across Cambridgeshire. Their aim is to aid the transition of deaf teenagers in the region as they move from secondary to higher education.
The 'Moving On' event provides an opportunity for deaf teenagers to get all of the information they might need in preparation for college and University. It is also a chance for them to socialise with others about to embark on the same journey.
The event, which encourages visitors to ask questions and features talks by 'deaf mentors' is expected to see around 100 teenagers from across Cambridgeshire.
To nominate, please download the form below, or pick a form from the audiology department or Emmeline centre.
