The UK operation of the service that collects, analyses and distributes both expert and user product reviews along with pricing information will be run by Mark Elwig, the former Head of Merchant Services at eBay’s price comparison site Shopping.com.
Already available in 18 languages, alaTest currently aggregates more than 10 million product reviews from over 1,700 international review sources such as CNET, PC World, ZDNet, pcmag.com and offers a suite of innovative content solutions, including bespoke video review functionality, unavailable elsewhere in the market.
alaTest aggregated content currently reaches over 300 million internet users across its network of ecommerce partner sites. In recent months the company has also established partnership agreements with eBay and Microsoft Bing further increasing its reach across the web. The launch of the UK office signals the next phase of growth for the company having won the 2009 Red Herring Global 100 Award for ‘most promising tech start-up’.
