Appeal after woman sustains life changing injuries in Southsea collision

Officers are appealing for information following a serious collision in Southsea.

The collision occurred at some time between 11am and 11.20am on Monday, 29 April, on South Parade when a black BMW 1 series was in collision with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 62-year-old woman, suffered serious life changing injuries.

Two men got out of the vehicle and made off from the scene.

PC Andrew Hector, said: ā€œIā€™m appealing for anyone with information about this incident to come forward. Were you in the area at the time of the incident? Did you see what happened? I would urge anyone with information to call us as soon as possible on 101 quoting 44190146774.ā€

A 23-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested in connection with this incident. He has been released from custody but remains under investigation.
