Appeal for witnesses following collision involving a skip lorry and cyclist in Portsmouth

We’re appealing for witnesses after a cyclist suffered serious injuries following a collision with a skip lorry in Portsmouth.

Our officers were called to Quartermaine Road shortly after 11.30am, on Friday (March 29), following the incident.

The cyclist, a 33-year-old woman, from Portsmouth, suffered serious head injuries and is receiving treatment at Southampton General Hospital.

The driver of the skip lorry, a 43-year-old man, from Portsmouth, was uninjured.

Investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or anyone with any dash cam footage from the area that morning.
