This month, Canon presented a global showcase of its advanced printing and imaging technology at the company’s USA EXPO at the Jacob K Javits Center Exhibition Center in New York City. Demonstrating Canon’s successful integration of its numerous digital imaging solutions under the “We Speak Image” theme, the 2010 Canon New York EXPO showcased new technologies - from exciting new Canon cameras to the latest Canon multifunction printer(s), as well as the company's current imaging and output devices - including its award-winning imageRUNNER photocopiers and imagePRESS production printers.

‘The Future of Imaging’ exhibit showcased some of the new technologies which will be enhancing people’s lives and offered an exciting preview of Canon’s vision of imaging for the future. This included Canon’s mixed-reality initiative which uses computers to combine the real and virtual worlds in real-time. Other future technologies featured included the proposed new lightweight and compact Multipurpose Canon Cameras which are able to shoot video at frame rates in excess of 60 frames per second. Such dazzling frame rates have never been seen before on this class of cameras, let alone any previous Canon cameras

The Canon imagePRESS C7010 VP printers incorporate three years of research and development, including significant customer input into the device design. The end product is a printer which offers truly impressive productivity levels and some of the highest quality output of any printer in this class. The two new imageRUNNER Advance multifunction printer/photocopiers deliver impressive reliability, economy and productivity, in a compact, robust and also environmentally-friendly design. The Canon imagePRESS C7010 VP production printers are already available all Canon office solutions providers and the new imageRUNNER Advance C2020 and imageRUNNER Advance C2030 multifunction printer/photocopiers will be available later in the year. It is not yet known when the stunning light-weight Multipurpose Canon Cameras will be released.
