Press Release   •   Nov 10, 2013 17:28 GMT

Since 2010 Jessie Williams has become a much loved character in BBC's Tracy Beaker Return's and The Dumping Ground as Lily Kettle. Now the fourteen-year-old child star is making the move to a very different genre, that of the horror movie. Williams has joined Lucinda Rhodes (Dream Team), Francesca Ciardi (Cannibal Holocaust) and Joanna Finata (Rush) to climb aboard Romford based horror movie Death Walks.

In the movie Williams plays Poppy, a girl a million light years away from her Dumping Ground ground character. In the story Poppy comes to a shopping centre in search of help, an an injured state. While the movies creator Spencer Hawken is keeping information about Poppy close to his chest, he is keen to point out that Poppy is the most important character in the film.

"Having Jessie on the team is a real blessing, what she lacks in years she makes up for in experience, she is amazing to work with, and a joy to have on set."

Death Walks was due to finish filming two months ago but was set back after one of the cast was injured in a road traffic accident. The film is now due to finish filming this week, so it can go to editing for next years festival season.
