Costa Coffee offers Love Island Curtis the chance to re-couple with them

Press release   •   Jul 29, 2019 22:04 BST

Costa Coffee wants Love Island favourite, Curtis Pritchard, to hang up his dancing shoes and join Costa Coffee as a barista.

With Curtis heading back to the UK, Costa Coffee has responded to calls from Love Island fans to give him a job as a barista.

Over the last eight weeks, Curtis has always been the first up to make coffees and teas for his Love Island teammates. When he broke up with fellow islander Amy, he declared that he’d rather make coffee for the entire Love Island villa every morning than stay in and cuddle her in bed, as ‘setting everyone up for the day’ was important to him.

A Costa Coffee spokesperson, said: “The Love Island journey might be over for Curtis, but his commitment to handcrafting the perfect coffee for his fellow Islanders doesn’t have to be. We recognise talent when we see it, and so we’d like to extend an invitation to Curtis to join our talented team of baristas at any one of our 2,600+ stores here in the UK.

His passion and drive for ensuring everyone in the villa are ‘set up for the day’ with a great cup of coffee caught our attention early on in the competition. We’d be delighted to help him hone his skills, bringing him up to the exceptionally high standards of our award-winning baristas. We’re more than happy to play cupid and help Curtis re-couple outside the villa with his true love, coffee.”

About Costa Coffee:

Founded in London by Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa in 1971, Costa Coffee operates over 2,600+ coffee shops in the UK and more than 1,300+ in 32 international markets. We are the fastest growing coffee shop business in the UK and are proud to be the UK’s favourite coffee shop, having been awarded “Best Branded Coffee Shop Chain in the UK and Ireland" by Allegra Strategies for nine years running (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018).

Making a positive contribution to the communities we are part of is extremely important to us, both here in the UK and across the world. That’s why we established The Costa Foundation, a registered charity with the aim of improving the life chances of children in coffee growing communities by helping them access a safe, quality education. So far, the Costa Foundation has funded over 80 school projects and changed the lives of more than 75,000 children. We also have a UK-wide Community Programme, which enables our teams to volunteer their time to good causes locally and to invite community groups to make use of our welcoming space in store.

In 2011 Costa Coffee purchased Coffee Nation rebranding it to Costa Express. Today, Costa Express operates over 8,500+ coffee bars in nine international markets and proudly serves the same famous Mocha Italia blend found in stores, combined with fresh milk to create a delicious and warming cup of coffee on the go.
