“The more up-to-date posts that your blog has, the better your chances of ranking highly in relevant keyword search engine results. This means that it’s more likely potential customers will find you in Google and other search engines.”
A blog is an inexpensive form of public relations and marketing – it allows a business to demonstrate its knowledge, reinforce some of the key messages and show some of its personality. It’s the perfect platform for a business to show it is an expert in its field, prove its pedigree and encourage others to want to do business with it.
“Online business is all about being open, transparent and accessible to customers and clients,” added Karen. “A blog allows this to happen with room for comment and feedback which should be positively encouraged. Building rapport with existing and potential customers of the future has never been easier than through this type of medium.”
With a mountain of social media being thrust at us daily, it’s difficult to know where to turn from a business perspective. For most companies, Karen would advise blogging is a good starting point.
