Press Release

“Sessions With Sammie”

Brand new series that support you through life’s toughest issues.

Date: July 2013

“Sessions with Sammie” is a series of video programs that provide exclusive and discreet support for some of life’s hardest and stigmatic issues.

All too often we feel like we are outcast or isolated because the people around us cannot identify with the depth of our feelings. This isolation can distract from us dealing with our challenges as we pretend that everything is ‘normal’.

Available as exclusive digital downloads the video sessions guide the viewer through the process of their issue and show them how to move towards an honest and productive future. Each program aims to show the viewer how you how you can have “Freedom Through Responsibility” and provides guidance in easy digestible steps.

The series launches with 2 programs: Grief and Domestic Violence both close to Sammie’s heart and she speaks openly and honestly about her own experiences of these issues in her own life and how she dealt and coped with both.

SWS: Domestic Violence Support

Domestic Abuse is something that can happen to anyone, at anytime and appears in many different forms. It is not dictated by social class or education, race, age or sex. It’s something that affects both men and women, and can have devastating consequences for any children that live within an abusive household.

This program explains how DV can develop within relationships, how it takes hold of you and why you can find it so hard to leave.  Insights are given that would benefit both the victims and their family and friends. Sammie talks openly about her 10 year abusive marriage, rape and violence, she shares her story and how she broke free, giving the viewer hope and the practical steps that will get them to safety and freedom.

SWS: Grief Support

We can experience grief for many different reasons; the most obvious is death of a loved one someone we knew. But we can also go through grief after a relationship or friendship breaks down, if we lose our job or home, or even if we just have a general dissatisfaction with the state of our lives, and we often don’t know when it’s coming. So the question is how do we get through it? How do we see past the mist that causes fogginess and an ever-decreasing circle of grief? This video program takes the viewer through the various stages and emotions of grief, it explains how to cope and what to expect. Practical exercises are also provided. Throughout the program Sammie also share her own story and talks openly about her own grief journey since losing her daughter.

Sammie Thurlow- Baker

In her short 38 years Sammie has managed to be a teenage mum, lived through child abuse and domestic violence, a broken home, two failed marriages, 11 pregnancies, buried her daughter, has several near death experiences (she just won’t go!). She has been unfaithful and been cheated on, been homeless and on the verge of bankruptcy.

Now as a trained counselor, NLP master practitioner, and expert in the university of life she brings to you the recurring themes that her clients struggle with, that she has herself overcome in her debut series “Sessions with Sammie”.
