Poundland, Europe’s biggest single price retailer, opened its new store on 5 May in Dartford. Emmerdale star Tom Lister aka ‘Carl King’ officially opened the doors on 12 May and got the celebrations started.
‘Carl’ posed for pictures and signed autographs. Store Manager, Munish Gulati, says: “It was a fantastic day, everyone was having fun! It was a great way to welcome shoppers in Dartford to the new Poundland.”
During the family fun day a DJ entertained the crowds and many lucky shoppers won vouchers to spend in the new store.
